CEILING AND WALL LAMPS

[ITEM No. 15-C0001]

Designed by Simon Henningsen (1920-1974) in 1963-65 and manufactured by Lyfa. The brass “Kassablanka” pendant lamp constructed with layers of cubes with painted rusty orange and white interior creates shimmering sculptural look. It was possibly designed for one of the restaurants in Tivoli, an amusement park in Copenhagen, of which the design, architecture, and decorations (like the famous Divan 2 lamp) Henningsen devoted most of his professional life to. The pendant lamp can also be used as a bedside table lamp by increasing the drop. Measurements (height) are of the lamp body only.
