[Item No. 17-F0004]
An exceeding rare stool from the Meraggia foundation in southern Switzerland. The foundation was initiated by Heiri Brunner during the early 1950s and remains till today though the early hand crafted furnishing no longer remains.
Everyday items were crafted mostly from Walnut for the foundation’s use, namely chairs, stools, work desks, kitchen utensils, shelves, etc.. The brutish execution of chisel and or saw is evident on each piece. We are proud to offer this very rare Meraggia stool of which no two piece are alike.
Great looking glass vase round upper with squared off base. Unfortunately we have not been able to place the origin though the form winks in the direction of Finnish glass works. Excellent condition, good size and form. The glass is tinged with just a touch of yellow rather than crystal clear.
